| Google Bans Advertisements For Paper Mills
Term-paper and essay-writing services join prostitutes, firearms dealers, and hacking sites in Google's forbidden-advertising zone, the company announced yesterday. Academic paper-writing services, or "paper mills," will no longer be able to buy search terms in the Google AdWords program, and thus their ads will no longer pop up in the "sponsored links" sections of a Google search-results page. (Links to those sites could still be found among the results on the main part of the page, however.) The paper mills, which offer buyers papers written to order for a fee, have been the subject of sharp complaints from universities, which view them as sources of plagiarism. But the companies themselves have a different view. Read the full Chronicle story. Posted on Wednesday May 23, 2007 | Permalink | .
Internet Home Business Opportunities For Webmasters: Google Adsense
If you own a website and you know the basics of the html language to be able to edit your website, it is easy to make extra money online to pay your web hosting fee and keep you site running by adding Google Adsense to your site. With Google Adsense you could insert ads on you website, placed by advertisers through Google Adwords. Google in this case is actually the intermediary between the webmaster and the advertiser. These ads are what you see on top or on the right side of a search page when you search for a term in Google. They are actually mini-ads pertaining a couple of very short sentences with a link redirected to the advertisers website. When someone clicks on the ad, it will lead to the site of the advertiser. .
Google vs. Google
If your guess is that two of them are unflattering toward Google (Nasdaq: GOOG), you win. Just wait until someone gets a hold of the "Google is a Bully" graffiti scrawled on the Atlantis space shuttle. Then we can go for the perfect trifecta of venom. Why did I choose these three headlines? Oh, I didn't. They were the three featured headlines Sunday night on a popular news aggregator website -- under the Science/Technology category. That site? Google. On the one hand, it's pretty cool to know that Google can be self-effacing enough to trumpet its own shortcomings as reported by third-party sources. On the other hand, it may lead one to wonder if Google News will be censored if negative headlines continue, and they likely will. Google's news portal was never supposed to be a megaphone for propaganda, but it also was never fashioned as a quick way to stamp the "no" out of "do no evil" in the company's goody-goody mantra.
Internet Home Business Ideas: Niche Marketing
The most important and difficult task to do when starting niche marketing is doing site research. As with any business it is much easier to start with something that you are interested in and excited about. Since this is an internet home business, and most traffic (85%) to the websites will be determined by the big three search engines Google, Yahoo and MSN, it is a good place to start your research from. This research should focus on the following three aspects, as described above for a niche market: .
Click Here To Infect Your PC!
Email me for FREE viruses writes "Just how many people would click an ad saying "Is your PC virus-free? Get it infected here!"? According to the security researcher who ran that very ad on Google for 6 months, 0.16% (409 of 259,723) would click on it. 98% of those people were running Windows. The Google Adwords campaign cost $23 in total, which works out to $0.06 per infection had the site actually been malicious." .
