Online Home Business Affiliate Programs Provide Second Income ...

It seems to be the norm these days to hear of more and more people who are looking for second income opportunities or ways to earn extra income online and a great opportunity for them lies in the online home business affiliate programs.

For those working a full time job, the internet is a great place to look for second income opportunities because it means you can work at home online and not have the added expense or inconvenience of having to travel in order to earn extra income.

By working at home online to earn a second income has huge advantages. You can work the hours you want when you want as well as still being able to spend time with your family. You will not have to pay for a baby sitter or child minder or have the worry of leaving your children at home alone, which would be the case if you had to go out and get a second job.

Everyone Fears Google (Again) & Will The Last Googler To Leave ...

Back at the beginning of this year, my 14 "Is Google Evil?" Tipping Points Since 2001 covered the history of how Google has been deemed to be too Big Brotherish or too dominant over the years. Another wave of Google hatred and fear is washing across the great sea of Blog. Here's a look at what's afloat:

FeedBurner Sparks Things Up

TechCrunch: Google Is Buying FeedBurner covers TechCrunch getting confirmation that Google is to buy FeedBurner. That seems to have sparked off the latest wave of "too much, too much!" Just skim some of the headlines of related discussion on the still-rumored sale on Techmeme here. Should publishers be "skittish," writes BusinessWeek. Would Google please leave other blog advertising systems alone, begs Amit Agalwal.

Geek News Central doesn't hold back.

Affiliate Shop Builder 2.0

Lately, Ive been playing with PopShops, which bills itself as a new generation of affiliate tools.

Features of PopShops include the ability to search for products across multiple networks and merchants; personalized product recommendations with ease; customized showcases with easy-to-use layout editors; and showcases can be added to sites as JavaScript, PHP or ASP.

PopShops Basic is free, and then there are enhanced versions (Pro and Enterprise) for flat monthly fees.

The affiliate programs available in PopShops include those using Commission Junction, LinkShare, ShareASale and independent programs.

The default is to have 2 columns by 6 rows for a showcase. Ive created a 2 x 1 showcase below as an example.

'Newspapers becoming the ultimate browser'

"The year the music dies!" howled Wired Magazine in February 2003. The music industry was perceived to be failing to get to grips with internet file-sharing and was seen to be doomed. Wired predicted that overcoming these challenges would be almost impossible and, "would be one of the more amazing turnarounds in business history". Two months later, in April, Apple launched the iTunes Music Store to cater to users of its emblematic iPods. A million songs were sold within five days, and more than 2,5 billion songs have been sold to date. The music industry is doing quite well. Hubris is, clearly, a two-way street. The news industry is said to be similarly threatened by the ease with which modern communications systems allow information to be transferred. .
